Wickman Multi-Spindle Lathe Setter/Operator 2022/05
Due to continued expansion, we now require an experienced Wickman Multi-Spindle Lathe Setter/Operator to join our busy production department at Burgess Hill, West Sussex. You will have experience in a production environment, be used to working to high levels of accuracy and productivity and have a good understanding of quality management systems and procedures such as ISO9001 & ISO14001.
To be considered for this position you will need to have the following skills:
• Experience setting a 6-spindle auto-lathe (Wickman) is essential.
• Being highly technical and thorough
• Being professional and proficient
• Understanding manufacturing processes
• Working in all areas of the production department
• Planning and prioritising activities
• Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information
• Making smart decisions
• Resolving problems in an efficient manner
• Applying health and safety practices
The successful applicant would be joining a very friendly team working 39-45 hr week, 28 days annual leave entitlement per annum including all bank holidays. Company contributory Pension scheme. Pay is negotiable depending upon experience. Sales/Administrator
Due to continued expansion, we have exciting sales/administrational opportunities within our sales team. Joining our friendly team in Ashford, Kent you will be telephoning existing customers, following up on quotations and general enquiries, processing sales orders from our very busy online web shop.
To be considered for this position you will need to have the following skills:
- Excellent communication skills are essential in both written and verbal
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- An organised approach and excellent time management
- Computer literacy, word and excel etc
- A good level of English spelling and grammar
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Experience within the engineering/manufacturing industry within this type of role would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given. The successful applicant would be joining a very friendly team working 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. 28 days annual leave entitlement per annum including all bank holidays. Company Contributory Pension scheme.
Pay is negotiable depending upon experience.
